Chronology of Diplomatic Relations
Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Costa Rica were established on May 5, 1998.
Work is ongoing concerning the diplomatic coverage of Georgia through the Republic of Costa Rica.
In parallel with the bilateral political dialogue, cooperation is deepening in areas such as economy, culture, education and environmental protection.
Bilateral political consultation mechanism is signed and existing between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. Growing dynamics of cooperation within the multilateral organizations shall be mentioned. High-level meetings within the International forums are regularly held between the parties.
