Chronology of Diplomatic Relations
Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Guatemala were established on April 27, 2010.
In the recent years, as a result of high-level visits and meetings, as well since the diplomatic coverage of the Republic of Guatemala by Georgia, a new impetus was given to bilateral relations. Deepening cooperation within the frames of Regional and multilateral organizations is very important. Along with the deepening of political dialogue, bilateral cooperation is developing in safety, economy, culture and education fields. Consequently, cooperation for the implementation of specific projects in the abovementioned field is ongoing.
