The Georgian Ambassador has attended the inauguration ceremony president-elect of Honduras

On the 27th of January 2014, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United Mexican States, H.E. Malkhaz Mikeladze who also serves as Georgia's non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Honduras represented Georgia at the inauguration ceremony of the president-elect of Honduras, H.E. Mr. Juan Orlando Hernandez. The inauguration ceremony took part at the National Stadium in Tegucigalpa and was attended by an estimated 30000 people. The representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, as well as by high-level guests from the countries of Latin America, Europe and other members of the international community were among the attendants of the inauguration ceremony.

In the margins of the inauguration ceremony, Georgian Ambassador held meetings with the senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Honduras, as well as with the adviser on communications and strategy to the Honduran Government, Mrs. Hilda Hernandez. The wide array of the issues pertaining to the bilateral agenda of cooperation was discussed during the meetings. Honduran side reaffirmed its support towards Georgia's territorial integrity, emphasizing the readiness to further develop partner relations between two countries.
